Remember when we were just friends?
Before we both grew up too fast
And everything became complicated?

Remember when you said you loved me?
And I actually believed you
Because I knew you wouldn't lie.

These are just shadows now
Ghosts of the times we once had
Since I can barely remember how you used to be
And I doubt you remember me at all.

A short poem, written to try and break out of writer's block. Doesn't really go anywhere, but oh well.

Wow, definately sad. Breaking out of writers block, eh? I know the feeling...i'm in a class of poetry and I've had writers block this whole semester. X(

I think the questions in there really enhance the meaning. :)

As of yet, I haven't been able to break out unfortunately.

To be completely honest, I didn't remember this poem at all. When I saw you're comment I was like "huh?" and had to go back and read it. I like the last verse best, if I do say so myself.

Mine's lasted much longer than that. It makes it hard to write school assignments even, since I'm never satisfied with them.

I think one major factor is my English teacher though. She's so picky and overly critical, and my marks are much lower this year (I usually get 90 or higher in English, but this year I'm lucky when I get above 80 on an assignmenet with her). I think it's taken my writing confidence away.

So do I. I'm going to see what happens when I'm out of her class. Just about two months to go :(
